MIDHANA Floor Light – Large

Recalling the architecture of North Africa and the Middle East, our Midhana floor lamp is named after the slender towers or ‘minarets’ from which the traditional Muslim call to prayer is issued. Domed and octagonal in structure, the brass of the lamp is decorated with a sinuous floral motif, pierced, sawn and engraved by hand. This is used as a frame for windows of textured parchment, which conjure up an air of warmth and hospitality.

Each floral cut out section is meticulous hand chiseled using the smallest of Jewelers saws. This outstanding floor lamp will project the most captivating patterns across the walls and ceilings. Available in three distinct sizes for you to choose. This is the large sized version.

Rising up from a base-plate of solid brass, the bottle-like form of our Aara floor lamp comes with a long, slender and gently tapering neck that gives it a sense of sumptuous poise. When illuminated, the full glory of its hand-sawn decoration is thrown into glorious relief, revealing six mesmerising medallions arrayed within a flowing floral motif.

KAAMIL Floor Lamp

Set on a bevelled plinth of hand-sawn and hand-engraved antique brass, the octagonal shaft of our Kaamil floor lamp is made up of eight identical panels of decorative brass-work laid over a lining of frosted glass. Above that, and adorned with the same floral motifs as the base, is a stepped dome, which tapers towards a solid brass tip.

LUTIS Floor Lamp

Inspired by the traditional architecture of the Middle East and North Africa, our Lutis floor lamp is guaranteed to conjure up visions of this magical world. It is made up of a square ‘tower’ of hand-carved antique brass lined with frosted glass, set on a sloping plinth with hand-engraved floral detailing The tower is then crowned with a meticulously hand-carved octagonal dome, which allows some light to escape upwards from the lamp, while leaving the remainder to set the frosted glass of the tower aglow.

At more than a metre tall, our Kabir floor lamp has a strong physical presence, coupled with a bold multi-levelled octagonal structure that manages to blend hard angles and soft curves. Decorated with a densely detailed floral motif – sawn and carved by hand – it projects a dramatic panorama of light and shadow.
