Topped and tailed with Islamic-style domes – the lower one larger and inverted – the central section of our Erfoud ceiling light calls to mind the pleated folds of the traditional abaya worn by women across the Muslim world. Fitted with a bulb at its base, light floods through all three sections of perforated brass, which have been pierced, sawn and engraved entirely by hand. The result is a mesmerising 360-degree display of light and shadow that cloaks any space with a sense of intrigue and excitement.
