Our Mutatawir side table more than lives up to its name, which means ‘sophisticated’ in Arabic. Its intricate design involves the dextrous arrangement of thousands of hand-shaped pieces of bone to form a beguiling concentric motif on the table top, with further geometric patterning on the side panels. Octagonal in structure, its eight side panels are also embellished with hand-carved perforations and low-rising arches around the feet.
