Its craftsmanship is equally traditional, with dextrously hand-sawn floral patterning giving way in the centre of each panel to a simple geometric motif. Projecting a complex tapestry of light and shadow onto the surrounding walls, it is a piece that truly conjures up the magic and mystery of the ancient Arab world.
